Sonavie is made to be calm, and that includes how it treats your data: we collect as little as possible. This page explains, in plain words, what happens with your information when you use the Sonavie app, this website, or contact us.

Who we are

Sonavie is run by Rinor Emini, Geneva, Switzerland. For any question about your data, write to support@sonavie.app.

In short

The Sonavie app

The app works without an account and without an internet connection. All sounds are generated on your device. The app does not contain advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and it does not send any personal data to us.

To remember your choices, the app stores a few preferences only on your iPhone, such as the last sound and ambience you chose, the ambience level, your appearance setting (light or dark), whether you have seen the welcome screens, and a simple count of listening sessions used to decide when to ask, once, for an App Store rating. These preferences never leave your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Sonavie does not ask about or store your tinnitus, your hearing, or any other health information.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. Apple only tells the app whether you have access to Premium. Apple's handling of your data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Ratings

The app may show Apple's standard rating prompt once. Whether you rate the app, and what you write, is handled by Apple.

Support emails

If you write to support@sonavie.app (for example with the “Contact us” button in the app, which fills in the app version and iOS version), we use your message and email address only to reply to you. Our email is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland. We keep support conversations only as long as needed to help you, and we delete them on request.

Launch list

If you join the “Get notified at launch” list on this website, we store only your email address and use it to tell you when Sonavie is available on the App Store. The form is processed and stored by our website host, Netlify, Inc. (United States), on our behalf. We never sell or share your address. You can ask us to remove it at any time by writing to support@sonavie.app or by replying to our email.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. It is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States). Like any web host, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. We do not use this data to identify or follow you.

Transfers abroad

Netlify is located in the United States. When your data is processed there, this happens under Netlify's data processing terms, which provide safeguards recognized under Swiss and European data protection law.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / nLPD) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to its use. Just write to support@sonavie.app. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the data protection authority of your country in the EU.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (launch list) and on our legitimate interest in answering your messages (support).

Children

Sonavie is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
