Frequently asked questions
The sound stops when I lock my iPhone or switch apps. What can I do?
Sonavie is made to keep playing in the background and with the silent switch on. If it stops:
- Make sure you didn't close Sonavie by swiping it away in the app switcher.
- If your headphones disconnect, Sonavie stops on purpose, so the sound never jumps to the speaker. Just press play again.
- A phone call or Siri pauses the sound. It resumes gently afterwards when iOS allows it.
How loud should I set the volume?
Lower than you might think. Set it just loud enough for the sound to blend with your tinnitus. It doesn't need to cover it, and it should never be loud. Start low, especially with headphones. Sonavie always starts softly with a gentle fade-in.
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
To cancel: open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Sonavie and tap Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you are in a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged.
To restore a purchase on a new or reset iPhone: open Sonavie, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases, using the same Apple ID.
Does Sonavie replace a doctor?
No. Sonavie offers calm sounds that may help you live better with tinnitus, but it is not a medical device and doesn't replace medical advice. If your tinnitus bothers you a lot, appears suddenly, or you notice hearing loss, please talk to a doctor or an audiologist.
